“As a trainer who specialises in rehabilitation and assessment I am always looking for innovative ways to provide solutions that suit individual horses needs.

This client horse, a lovely 7 year old stock horse mare presented very footsore. Radiographs and a full veterinary assessment showed flat palmar angles and extremely thin soles.

The owner was not keen on conventional nail on shoes. I had heard about Glushu glue on horse shoes from Sarah at Innovative Hoofcare Australia and we decided to give them a go.

With the help of the YouTube videos, some prior experience working with the various glues and the ability to prepare a foot for a shoe, I was able to use Glu Fix to help slightly raise the mares heels, then apply the Glushu’s.

With more practise I can surely improve on making the final result a little more tidy but couldn’t be happier with the end result of a horse in better alignment and now able to move freely.”
