Farrier Review: Mini Glushu for Shetlands that cannot nail.
Thank you to the hoof experts at Zolas Hovar for sharing this great report of their client who is using Mini Glushu glue on horse shoes when they needed hoof support but could not tolerate traditional nailing. Please check out more of their work on their Facebook Page.
If you would like to try Glushu for your horse please order from our online storeor at your local farrier supply.

From Zolas
“Even Shetland ponies needs protection of their hooves. And small hooves like this is nearly impossible to nail in. It is often very uncomfortable for the pony to be nailed, since the nailing is high vibrations on a small hoof.
I prefer GluShu over other glue-shoes, because they have an aluminium base inside, that makes it possible to fit the shoe individually perfect. Then the shoe stays on forever.
A glue-shoe that does not sit perfectly, can often loosen easier because of the gap between the hoof and the materials.
I get 8-9 weeks out of these shoes for this horse, without them falling off. If you want frog support, GluShu has inserts that can be bought. I usually cut out a plastic or leather pad and glue it inside, for the bigger horses I use the 3D pads. Cause I have them in stock already.
They are also very light-weight, compared to other composite shoes I’ve seen. I’d rather have a light shoe that can’t be refitted because of them been worn down, then a clumsy thick “heavy” composite shoe that can be refitted several times.
But what ever fits, as long as the horses are comfortable and not lame by going barefoot.
I wholly recommend Glushu.
